MIDDLE SCHOOL

At the middle school level, Cambridge College students experience a critical stage of academic consolidation and personal development. The Middle School program is designed to strengthen critical thinking, independence, and academic responsibility, preparing students for the challenges of secondary education and Cambridge international programs.

During this stage, students continue progressing through Cambridge English Qualifications, taking exams such as A2 Key and advancing toward B1 Preliminary, certifying their English proficiency in increasingly demanding academic contexts. At the same time, students engage more deeply in community service, fostering social awareness, empathy, and an understanding of their impact within the community.

FOUNDATIONAL COMPETENCIES

In Middle School, students develop academic and personal competencies that enable them to take an active role in their learning: Advanced reading comprehension and written expression in English. Mathematical reasoning and application of scientific concepts. Critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Organization, study habits, and time management. Collaboration, emerging leadership, and effective communication. Social awareness and civic responsibility through community service.

MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

The Middle School experience combines a rigorous academic curriculum with methodologies that promote inquiry, analysis, and reflection. Students engage in interdisciplinary projects, formative assessments, and activities that integrate technology, sciences, humanities, arts, and athletics. Community service is incorporated in a more structured manner, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world contexts, develop a sense of purpose, and understand their role as responsible citizens within both local and global communities.

CAMBRIDGE PATHWAY

Middle School serves as a critical bridge within Cambridge College’s international academic pathway. During these years, students consolidate the academic, linguistic, and ethical foundations required to successfully enter IGCSE programs and progress toward AS and A Level certifications, supporting long-term academic and university readiness.
