Through the study of a wide range of texts and genres, students learn to read critically, write analytically, and express ideas with clarity and precision. Key areas of study include: English language development: grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and accuracy in written and spoken communication. Literature and textual analysis: novels, short stories, poetry, drama, and non-fiction from diverse literary traditions. Academic writing: structured paragraphs, essays, reports, and research-based writing. Speaking and listening skills: presentations, discussions, debates, and formal academic discourse. Critical thinking and argumentation: interpretation of texts, evidence-based reasoning, and analytical writing. Academic English across disciplines: subject-specific vocabulary and comprehension skills applied in all areas of study. This integrated approach ensures that students achieve academic fluency in English, enabling them to engage confidently with complex material, communicate effectively across disciplines, and meet the demands of international assessments and higher education. International English Examinations and Certifications Students are prepared for a progression of internationally recognized English qualifications that certify both language proficiency and academic readiness: Cambridge English Qualifications: A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers, A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency Cambridge IGCSE English Cambridge AS Level and A Level English In addition, students preparing for university in the United States receive preparation for the SAT, strengthening reading comprehension, analytical writing, and evidence-based reasoning skills required for competitive admissions. University Preparation and Global Readiness Through advanced study of English language and literature, combined with English-medium instruction across all subjects, students graduate with the communication skills necessary to succeed in universities across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. They are equipped to participate in academic discourse, conduct research, and adapt to diverse cultural and academic environments with confidence.

MATHS
What Mathematics Do Our Students Study? Mathematics at Cambridge College follows a demanding international curriculum that ensures academic equivalence with high-performing educational systems worldwide. Students build competency across key areas, including: Number and arithmetic: operations, ratios, percentages, and quantitative reasoning. Algebra and functions: algebraic manipulation, equations, inequalities, and function analysis. Geometry and mensuration: properties of shapes, area, volume, and spatial reasoning. Coordinate geometry: graphical analysis and mathematical relationships. Trigonometry: trigonometric ratios and applications in abstract and real-world problems. Probability and statistics: data analysis, interpretation, and statistical modeling. This approach enables students to understand mathematics as a structured discipline essential for analysis, problem-solving, and informed decision-making. SCIENCES
Science Across the Academic Curriculum The Science Department at Cambridge College provides a rigorous, inquiry-based academic program designed to deepen students’ understanding of the natural world and to develop strong scientific thinking. Through a progressive curriculum, students build solid foundations in science while strengthening skills in observation, investigation, analysis, and problem-solving from early stages through advanced levels. Science instruction at Cambridge College integrates theory and hands-on practice, fostering scientific curiosity and evidence-based learning. This approach prepares students for demanding university programs and careers related to science, technology, health, and engineering. Areas of Study in Science The science curriculum covers core disciplines aligned with international Cambridge standards: Integrated Science and Natural Sciences Biology: study of living systems, genetics, ecology, and human biology. Chemistry: structure of matter, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, and applied chemistry. Physics: energy, forces, motion, electricity, waves, and fundamental principles of modern physics. Scientific methodology: hypothesis development, experimental design, data analysis, and evidence-based conclusions. This structure allows students to understand science as an active process of inquiry and discovery. Infrastructure and Experimental Learning Cambridge College is supported by expanded and specialized scientific infrastructure designed to enhance experiential learning and advanced experimentation. Our laboratories are equipped to allow students to work with scientific instruments and laboratory equipment, conduct controlled experiments, and apply theoretical knowledge in real laboratory settings. Access to appropriate equipment strengthens experimental accuracy, safety, and conceptual understanding, preparing students for the academic expectations of university-level science programs. Science Fairs and Research Projects As a key component of the science experience, students participate in science fairs, research projects, and academic exhibitions. These opportunities promote: Independent and guided scientific research Application of the scientific method Clear communication of scientific results Collaboration, innovation, and critical thinking Science fairs allow students to present their work to the school community, reinforcing confidence, academic rigor, and scientific communication skills. International Examinations and University Pathways Students in the Science Department are prepared for Cambridge international examinations, including IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, which are widely recognized by universities worldwide. This strong scientific foundation—combined with laboratory work, research experiences, and international assessments—supports successful admission to university programs in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, particularly in fields such as medicine, engineering, natural sciences, biotechnology, and other STEM-related disciplines.
